DMDS
Description
Dimethyl disulfide appears as a colourless oily liquid with a garlic-like odour. Denser than water and slightly soluble in water with vapours heavier than air. DMDS is a natural product found in Allium vineale, Psidium guajava, and other organisms.




Applications
It is the most common compound used for hydrocracking catalysts sulfiding in refineries, It prevents coke formation and mitigates CO formation, It is also used to make other chemicals.
